Best Beginner Padel Rackets in the UAE (2026) — Picked by a Player, Not an Algorithm
The most expensive mistake in padel isn't buying a cheap racket — it's buying a pro racket first. Hard diamond frames marketed at beginners cost you control now and often an elbow later. Here's what actually works for your first year on court.
What a beginner racket must have
Round shape (sweet spot dead centre, so off-centre hits stay playable), soft-to-medium foam (easy rebound, less shock), and 340–365g weight. Carbon is optional at this stage — fibreglass faces are softer and cheaper.
Our five picks
1. Adidas RX Series 3.5 — the default recommendation. Round, even balance, forgiving, from the same 2026 range as Galán's Metalbone but built for learning.
2. Adidas Match Light 3.5 — 345–360g, big sweet spot, kind on the arm. Best if you're playing 3+ times a week and feeling it.
3. NOX ML10 Pro Cup — Miguel Lamperti's legendary line; arguably the most recommended first racket in padel history, for good reason.
4. Bullpadel Xplo — lightest of the group at 340–355g. Easy speed for smaller players or anyone coming from badminton.
5. Adidas Drive Light 3.5 — head-light for the fastest hands at the net.
When to upgrade
When you're rallying consistently, using the glass, and attacking at the net — usually 8–14 months in. Then read our level guide before you spend. Starting from zero? The RX Starter Bundle packs racket, grip and balls together.
